Meet Carretillla
LogosCARRETILLARegistered in 1916, LA FLOR DE NAVARRA existed even before Máximo Muerza's times. At that time, the label really did depict a flower. When it is registered in 1916, a character appears in the fields: a cook with a wheelbarrow. In the wheelbarrow, he has the product to be processed; a giant artichoke, an enormous peach, an immense tomato, peas still in the pod or a huge bunch of asparagus. The FLOR DE NAVARRA brand is used for everything: there is even record of "wild rabbit in tomato sauce" or "stewed partridges" with this brand. The cook is the "prescriber", the product specialist who guarantees quality. A finger is seen coming out of the produce and pointing to an eye in the sky. This sign attracts our attention as if saying "look at the quality!" Over time, the LA CARRETILLA name, which also appears on the label, sticks. Finally, the brand is registered in 1934. Later, the logo goes through the first rationalization process and is reduced to a stylized picture of a cook in front of a yellow and blue wheelbarrow. In a later process, the cook disappears and only the wheelbarrow is maintained. In 1998, the CARRETILLA logo is again redesigned. The yellow and blue colours are maintained but there is again a character: not the original cook but a peasant, the specialist in the raw material, who guarantees its quality. In 2004, the logo is redesigned in such a way that, while respecting the brand's fundamental values of tradition, quality, naturalness and experience, the design is given more modern forms, thus gaining in visual impact and personality. The icon of the character is further integrated within the brand as a whole and bolder, clearer lines are applied. |
